Construction Administration

CESI is a diversified company with expertise in all aspects of surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture and geotechnical engineering.  In order to provide a full range of services, we offer Contract Administration services to assist those clients who do not have the time or expertise to take a project from initial concept to completion.  Our services also include knowledge of pertinent AIA forms and procedures.  Listed below is an outline of project flow.

  1. Development
    1. Develop Project Cost Estimate
    2. Advertise Project to subcontractors
    3. Meet with subcontractors prior to bidding setting all requirements.
    4. Accept sealed bids and make recommendations to client
    5. Develop contract based upon client requirements including type contract and amount of bonding by subcontractors.

 

  1. Construction
    1. Inspect work of subcontractors daily, weekly or monthly based on client requests.
    2. Accept pay applications from sub-contractors on a monthly basis.  Pay Applications are always handled by a professional engineer and request payment from the client to the subcontractor based on work completed.
    3. Provide CESI onsite inspector either full time or part time based on client requests.  Inspector will visually observe waterline and sewer line installation and provide a report of these activities.  Visual inspections of these installations are requirements of certification.  Our inspector can also be available to be onsite for all formal inspections by County, City or State Inspectors providing a daily written report.

 

  1. Completion of Project
    1. Verify completion of subcontractor responsibilities.
    2. Meet with subcontractors and City, County or State inspectors to insure work is satisfactorily complete.
    3. Provide Client with written report of finalized project.
