Western & Central North Carolina
Description: CESI is currently working on surveys of county boundaries for North Carolina Geodetic Surveys. During this contract, Concord Engineering & Surveying, Inc. has retraced 25 miles of Mecklenburg / Cabarrus County line, 15 miles of Mecklenburg/ Union County line, 3 miles of Cabarrus/ Union County line, 25 miles of Durham / Orange County line, and 26 miles of Anson/ Union County line. These surveys have all involved retracement of surveys over one hundred years old. These surveys have also required the ability to handle politically sensitive issues and to interact responsibly with landowners and the local governments.
