Charlotte, NC
Description: Northlake Mall opened September 15th, 2005 providing the Lake Norman area and Charlotte region a high-end retail center. To access the Mall, widening of W.T. Harris Boulevard was required by NCDOT. However, to access the Mall from the north, a new road was designed and constructed. Northlake Centre Parkway intersects Reames Road to the south and extend to Mount Holly-Huntersville Road at its northern terminus. The new road is a 4-lane arterial with a total distance of approximately 1.4 miles. CESI performed Design Services for the pavement and embankments of the roadway and Materials Testing and Field Engineering Services, including soils, base course, concrete, and asphalt during construction.
