Description This project consisted of the design surveying, and civil engineering design of a 110-acre shopping center located in Concord and Kannapolis, NC. Our firm is performing the contract administration for the grading and infrastructure construction for the site development. The total contract amount for the construction of the site development, including infrastructure, is $8,567,490.00. Our firm made weekly visits to the site, processed any change orders, and processed all pay applications to be submitted to the Owner. During monthly construction meetings, the schedule is monitored by reviewing the actual construction of the site, compared to the target dates, as established by the contract. Our services also include the Inspection for Certification of approximately 6,400 Lf of 8" ”sanitary sewer line; 3,620 Lf of 12" ”waterline; and 9,065 Lf of 8" ”waterline, all of which has been permitted through the State of North Carolina. One unique aspect of this project is that the sanitary sewer lines and waterlines are being constructed across jurisdiction lines of the two Cities. The inspections and certifications will be forwarded and reviewed by the three governing authorities being: The State of North Carolina, The City of Concord, and The City of Kannapolis.
