Description: The Stonewall Jackson Soccer Complex consisted of surveying for design, civil engineering design plans, and the contract administration for the development of a 56-acre site for the Cabarrus County Parks & Recreation Department. Both Phase I and Phase II of the construction administration process required the advertisement for bids, bidding of the project, and the recommendation of a contractor to the Owner. Phase I construction consisted of clearing, grading, storm drainage, construction of two 300,000-gallon water storage ponds (fed by a series of water wells), and construction of the gravel parking lots. Phase II construction consisted of the construction of the irrigation system and the sprigging of hybrid Bermuda grass on the playing surfaces of the eleven soccer fields. This project was very time sensitive due to the planting window of hybrid Bermuda grass in this area. The total contract amount for Phase I & II construction was $ 836,196.00.
